Concept
StockX is the other major sneaker marketplace. The module works alongside GOAT, with a very similar mechanism but a few particularities:
- The connection uses OAuth (rather than a simple access key), with a validation flow to go through each time a new account is created.
- Currently, the system handles only the Dropshipping type for StockX (no S2V).
- Two levels of connection exist:
- StockX access key (at the tenant level) β for retrieving market prices or for listing.
- StockX account (at the company level) β for sales and shipments.
Connecting to the StockX access key
Step 1 β Create a StockX access key
Menu Marketplaces > StockX, StockX accounts submenu (access keys). New button.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Title | Internal label for the key. Required. |
| Usage type | Price retrieval (StockX market prices are imported regularly) or Product listing (units are listed on StockX). |
| Access key | Key provided by StockX. Required. |
| Daily request limit | Quota set by StockX (usually 1,000 or 10,000 depending on your access plan). Required. |
| Requests today | Real-time counter (read-only). |
Save. The key is used by the system for global requests (pricing, listing updates).
Step 2 β Create a StockX account (OAuth)
Menu Marketplaces > StockX, + button in the left-hand column to create a new account, or New account.
The form is organized into three panels.
Access setup
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Client ID | OAuth client identifier provided by StockX Developer. |
| Client secret | OAuth secret provided by StockX Developer. |
| Authorization code | Generated automatically after OAuth authorization. Read-only. |
| Access token | Current token for calls. Renewed automatically. Read-only. |
| Refresh token | Renewal token. Read-only. |
OAuth flow:
- Enter the Client ID and Client secret, then save.
- A Connect to StockX button appears: click it to be redirected to the StockX authorization page.
- Sign in with the StockX account matching the Client ID / Secret entered (be careful if several accounts are active in the browser β a warning box reminds you of this).
- Authorize the application: StockX redirects back to the system, which automatically retrieves and stores the Authorization code, the Access token, and the Refresh token.
- Once these three values are filled in, the connection is active.
If you need to renew the connection (expired token that cannot be refreshed, change of StockX account, etc.), use the Request a new authorization code button: the OAuth flow runs again.
Account setup
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Account name | Internal label. Required. |
| Company linked to the account | Company in the tenant that owns the units. Required in multi-company setups. |
| Commission rate | Commission taken by StockX (as a %). Used to calculate margins and auto-invoicing. |
| Shipping fees | Fixed fee per sale (in euros). Used to calculate margins. |
| StockX customer | Customer (CRM) record to link to the account. Will appear as the buyer on auto-generated invoices. |
Tracking StockX sales
Sales can be viewed from Marketplaces > StockX, Sales tab (shown by default). The view is very similar to GOAT's.
Filters
| Filter | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Search | Text | Searches by order number. |
| Sale Channel | Selection | STANDARD (regular sale) / FLEX (StockX Flex program). |
| SKU | Multi-select | SKU of the models sold. |
| Company | Multi-select | Original company. |
| City | Multi-select | Location city. |
| Processed | Selection | Processed / Not processed / All. |
| Order status | Multi-select | StockX order statuses. |
StockX listings
Listings tab of a StockX account: shows active listings on StockX and their linked stock unit.
Unmatched listings tab (red badge if > 0): shows StockX listings that could not be matched to a stock unit. These need to be handled manually (check that the unit exists, that its SKU matches, that the company is correctβ¦).
Shipping StockX products (creating a picking list)
Similar mechanism to GOAT.
Step 1 β Filter and generate the picking list
- Go to Marketplaces > StockX > Sales.
- Filter the list (SKU, company, city, sale channelβ¦).
- Click Generate a picking list.
The system creates a picking list containing the units matching the filters.
Step 2 β Physically preparing the parcels
The picking list created is handled in the Restocks / Picking module (see the Stock documentation). There you find the list of units to scan, their location, and the validation actions.
Step 3 β Generating StockX shipments
Once the parcels are ready, go back to Marketplaces > StockX > Sales.
- Check the sales to ship.
- Click Generate StockX shipments in the actions panel at the bottom.
The system creates the matching shipments (one per company depending on the case), with:
- The customer attached = the StockX customer set up on the account.
- The units move to the Sold status in stock.
Good to know β No StockX labels
Unlike GOAT, StockX does not (as of today) offer a way to generate shipping labels directly from the system. You need to retrieve the labels from StockX (seller area) after the order is created. The system only handles shipments and invoices on the accounting side.
Logs and access journal
On each account (GOAT as well as StockX), two extra tabs let you diagnose an issue:
Logs tab (events)
Shows the business events linked to the account: pulling in sales, creating a listing, updating prices, generating a shipment, generating an auto-invoice, etc.
A red badge appears in the navigation if recent errors are detected: useful to quickly spot a synchronization issue.
Access journal tab
Shows the raw requests between the system and the marketplace (request, response, status code). A technical diagnostic tool for support or troubleshooting.
Good to know β These logs can only be viewed by administrators. If you run into a synchronization issue (a sale not showing up, a listing in error, an empty picking list), first open the Logs tab to spot the recent event in error, then the Access journal tab to see the technical detail. This is also the information to pass on to support if the issue persists.
