The ERP sends data to Shopify automatically with every change (creating a model, updating a price, changing a stock status…). There are, however, two manual tools for relaunching a synchronization, useful in case of an occasional sync issue or after a fix.
Both are found under Settings > Shopify > Product management.
Forcing the sync of a single SKU
Synchronize a single product box:
- Enter the SKU in the Test SKU field.
- Click Synchronize this SKU.
The matching model and all its variants are placed in the Shopify queue with high priority. A confirmation message appears.
This action recreates or updates the product sheet on the Shopify side. Useful if you notice that a product isn't (or is no longer) on the website, or if you've just fixed its requirements (size chart, taxonomy, weight…).
Forcing a global synchronization
Synchronize the entire product database box:
- Choose a mode via the toggle:
- Send products to Shopify: actively pushes every model to Shopify (creation or update). Use after a bulk change (re-pricing, taxonomy added, size chart updated…).
- Only synchronize identifiers: pushes nothing, but reconciles the links between the ERP and products that already exist on Shopify (retrieving Shopify identifiers for products not yet linked).
- Click Synchronize.
All models are placed in the queue. Tracking is done via the Shopify Stack (see last section).
Warning — A global synchronization in "Send" mode can generate several hundred or even thousands of tasks. Depending on the size of your catalog, it can take several hours to process. Keep an eye on the queue.
Shopify variants not linked in the ERP
Further down the same page, the Shopify variants not linked in the ERP box lists variants present on Shopify whose identifier is unknown to the ERP. These are typically products created directly in Shopify (before connecting to the ERP, or as duplicates).
- Refresh the list button: relaunches the scan for unlinked Shopify variants.
- The table shows the orphan variants with their title, SKU, and size as they appear in Shopify.
To resolve: either create the missing models in the ERP (with the correct SKU), or clean up the duplicates on the Shopify side.
Synchronization tracking (Shopify Stack)
All Shopify operations (sending a product, sending stock, updating an order, deleting…) are processed in the background in a dedicated queue. This queue can be viewed under Tools > Shopify Stacks.
Task statuses
| Status | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Blue | Task created, not yet processed. |
| In progress | Orange | Task currently being sent to Shopify. |
| Completed | Green | Task sent successfully. |
| Failed | Red | Task in error. The cause can be viewed in the detail. |
Priorities
Each task has a priority of Low, Normal, or High, which determines the processing order (High tasks go before Normal, which go before Low).
On each row, two buttons let you increase or decrease the priority of a pending task. This is useful for moving an urgent update ahead of a large ongoing global synchronization.
Task types
The displayed labels correspond to business operations:
| Label | Description |
|---|---|
| Send product to Shopify | Creation or update of a model / variant on the Shopify side. |
| Delete product from Shopify | Deletion on the Shopify side (following a deletion in the ERP). |
| Send stock to Shopify | Update of a product's available quantities. |
| Prepare the sales order | Cancellation, refund, or return sent to Shopify. |
| Update Shopify order metadata status | Status update (preparing, shipped…) on the Shopify order. |
Behavior in case of error
A failed task is automatically retried several times before permanently switching to "Failed". For Shopify API limit errors (rate limiting), the task is paused and resumes as soon as the limit is lifted — no manual action needed.
If a task stays "Failed" longer than expected, open its detail to see the error message (often a missing requirement: incomplete size chart, missing taxonomy, revoked Shopify credentials…).
What is sent
- The variant barcode (GTIN) is sent as the Shopify barcode.
- A product archived in the catalog is no longer sent.
- On the synchronization screen, a filter lets you process only products that have stock.
