Shopify connection
All configuration is done from Settings > Shopify tab.
Login credentials
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Shopify public key | Public key for your custom Shopify app. Provided by Shopify when the app is created. |
| Shopify secret key | Associated secret key. Used to verify the authenticity of messages received from Shopify. |
| Shopify store domain | Your store's URL in the format my-shop.myshopify.com (or a custom domain depending on your setup). |
On the first save, you are redirected to Shopify to authorize the connection. Once approved:
- The stock locations are created in Shopify.
- The webhooks (for receiving orders, customers, payments, returns) are set up automatically.
- A green message "Your Shopify account is correctly connected to Units!" is displayed.
A Disconnect your Shopify button appears if needed.
Synchronization options
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Size chart type in your Shopify | Indicates the main sizing system sent to Shopify: EU, US, UK, or CM. Should match what your customers see on the website. |
| Option naming | The name of the variant shown on the Shopify product sheet (default "Size"). If your Shopify already has products, reuse exactly the term already in use. |
| Default return fee | Fee charged to the customer on a return. Can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis at the return step. |
| Default shipping method | Carrier name applied when Shopify doesn't return shipping information (default "Chronopost"). |
Synchronized fields (toggles)
Depending on how detailed your Shopify product sheets are, you can enable or disable certain synchronizations:
| Toggle | Effect |
|---|---|
| Sync the Range field | Sends the model's "Range" attribute (silhouette, product line) as a Shopify metafield. |
| Sync the Sizing field | Sends the "Sizing" attribute (Men / Women / Youth / Kids…) as a metafield. |
| Sync the Collaboration field | Sends the "Collaboration" attribute. |
| Sync the release date field | Sends the model's release date. |
| Sync the product size chart | Sends a size chart specific to each model (in addition to the brand size chart). |
| Create a collection per brand | Automatically creates a Shopify collection for each brand present in your catalog. |
Note — If Klaviyo is enabled on your tenant, a Klaviyo private key field also appears on this tab to connect your marketing campaigns.
Shopify locations
Shopify locations section (left-hand column). Each Shopify location corresponds to a storage area that holds inventory (store, warehouse, dropshipping…). The ERP needs to know which Shopify location each city in your catalog is linked to, so that stock is reflected in the right place.
Adding a location
Add a location button:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Dropshipping location | If checked, creates a special "Dropshipping" location with no address or city attached. |
| Location name | Label shown on the Shopify side (e.g. "Paris store", "Toulouse warehouse"). Required. |
| Address / Postal code / City / Country | Physical address of the location (used by Shopify for shipping estimates). |
| Associated city/cities | Selection of the ERP catalog cities linked to this location (checkbox per city). |
Editing associated cities
Edit button on an existing location: opens a popup to check/uncheck the ERP cities linked to this Shopify location. At least one city must be associated for stock to be reflected.
If no city is associated, a red "Location not synchronized" notice appears under the location.
Deleting a location
Delete button: removes the location from Shopify (after confirmation).
Warning — On the Shopify side, under Settings > Locations, make sure to enable order fulfillment on each location, otherwise the stock linked to that location will not appear on the Shopify product sheet and cannot be ordered.
Shopify taxonomy
The taxonomy is the Shopify category (as defined by the Shopify Product Category Taxonomy) your products are assigned to. Without a taxonomy, a product cannot be created in Shopify.
Two ways to set it:
- On a case-by-case basis on each model (the "Shopify taxonomy" field on the model sheet).
- In bulk from this section: in Apply a taxonomy to your entire catalog, select the desired taxonomy (autocomplete), then click Apply. All existing models receive this taxonomy.
Typical sneaker case — For a catalog made up entirely of shoes, the typical taxonomy is
Apparel & Accessories > Shoes > Sneakers.
