The Consignment module represents the business transaction in which a consignor (a supplier, an individual or a business) physically entrusts one or more items to your store so you can resell them on their behalf. You only pay the consignor after the sale actually happens ā hence the term "consignment" (as opposed to a regular firm purchase).
The module works through two closely connected interfaces:
- On the consignor side ā A dedicated web portal where the consignor creates their account, lists the items they want to consign, tracks their sales, requests returns, and (if they are a business) uploads their invoices.
- On the ERP side ā Your ERP screens (Consignment) where you approve consignments, receive items, adjust prices, reject what doesn't fit, track payments, and process invoices.

- The consignor retains ownership of their item until the sale has actually taken place.
- For consignments from individual consignors, a purchase order is automatically generated every night to keep accounting records of the day's sales (see the dedicated section).
- The consignor portal is public: anyone can create an account. You then approve each consignment before it physically enters your premises.
