When units physically arrive at their destination, you carry out the receiving step: this is the step that sets the units back to the In stock status on the receiving company's side, at the location defined.
Starting the receiving process
On the Internal warehouses list, use the Receive action on a return with the In transit status. The receiving screen opens.
On the return's record, the button is also available as long as not all lines have been received yet.
The receiving screen
The screen shows:
- Top left: Main information (reference, status, company) and Storage (receiving city and location). You can adjust the city/location at the last minute if needed.
- On the right: the Order products panel with:
- A Confirm receipt field: scan or enter a unit's internal reference to check it off quickly.
- A Products received counter that increases with each box checked.
- The full list of expected units with: Product, SKU, Size, Internal ID, Original location, and a Received? checkbox.
Quick scan mode
For large receiving batches (several dozen units), the quick mode:
- Click into the Confirm receipt field.
- Scan the barcode of each unit as it comes out of the box.
- With each scan, the matching line's Received? box is checked automatically and the counter increases.
- A sound alert signals an error if the unit is not expected in this return (or already checked).
Manual checkbox mode
You can also simply check the received units manually in the list, line by line. A Check all box at the top of the column lets you toggle every line at once for a full receipt.
Confirming receipt
Confirm receipt button at the bottom right. Upon confirmation:
- The checked units are set back to the In stock status on the receiving company's side, at the location entered.
- The unchecked units will be received later, during a new pass.
- If all expected units have been received, the return moves to the Returned status.
Good to know — The Edit button on the receiving screen lets you go back to the return's entry form if you need to adjust the lines (adding, removing) before confirming receipt.
Error cases
If a unit cannot be found, has already been received elsewhere, or was deleted in the meantime, the system flags the error line by line (a red Error status instead of the Received? box). These lines need to be handled individually (unlocking by an administrator, recreating the unit, etc.).
